Christina Update

Alot has been going on in Christina's life lately. She was thinking she would be spending lots of time down at home this summer. Then eventually she drifted up to Logan's parents home more and more so she could spend time with Logan and not drive back and forth. Before long she pretty much lived there...out of a suitcase. First of August after she prayed long and hard about it she decided nuts to this and moved to St George. She told her principal and made a leap of faith. Next thing you know she was back in St George in line behind a man getting a bunch of pizzas with a tax exempt # so she asked if he was a teacher. He was actually a principal who knew another principal hiring a teacher at a brand new school. Two days later she had a job!! Just before school started. Luckily Ashley and I had a bit of time we could donate (I took some time off) and ran up to help her get her classroom decorated and ready to go for the parent open house in two days!! It was insane. She is now the newest Kindergarten teacher. This is quite a leap from 5th grade and she needed alot of stuff done to get it going. Thank goodness for Amazon.
The room was bare bones except for the cute carpet. So I brought up my cricut and Ashley brought her silhouette and we went to town.
The day before school started her desks finally arrived and she was ready to go. What a mad dash it was. It came together really nicely I think. Lots of fun color.
Apparently the kids love the reading area she set up for them in the tee pee.
So with her classroom getting fixed up she also had to run to Provo multiple times. Once to get Jeff's stuff so we could take it to North Carolina. She and Logan also found her a townhouse and after waiting to see if she got it or not she was accepted and got it!! Then she had to start packing up her place and get moved down. At the time she didn't have her place in St George yet so she was going to get a Penske and move everything to our garage until she had a place. So over one weekend her and Logan ran up to Provo and moved her out whilst putting Sherman's storage junk into a proper storage unit, not her basement, and getting Kali's stuff moved out as well. Of course all of this went down while we were in Hawaii so we weren't any help. It was a mess but they got it done! Then they had to unload the Penske so they were going to put it all in our garage and then move it to St George when her place was ready. Unfortunately through no fault of theirs on the way to Overton an RV in front of Logan dropped their trailer hitch and 50# stabilizer bar right in front of the truck in a construction zone on the freeway. With no where to go Logan ran over it in the truck and it basically obliterated the engine inside. He was fortunate he wasn't hurt. Then Christina driving her car behind also ran  over it but luckily her car escaped damage somehow. So what a mess!! So instead of helping her unload her stuff into our garage with the crew I had assembled on short notice Mendis and I drove up to help them unload everything into Logan's parents garage from the now towed Penske. Most of it was done by the time we got up there so we were lucky enough to get home by midnight that night. The next day I was off to North Carolina!! Let's just say I'm pretty sure Christina is thrilled August is behind her. What a crazy month for her.
